I have been lucky enough to grab some great bargains at Gymshark for Black Friday! Keep reading to find out what I got, and what I think of the products so far!
Black Friday has been and gone now but as I’m sure you have seen, Gymshark started their sales early on Monday the 20th November and they are still going strong!
I was ready and waiting for the big release as there were a handful of items I wanted to get my hands on, especially at a reduced price!
I think it’s fair to say that Gymshark’s prices are a little higher than what most of us would ordinarily justify spending on an outfit for the gym, so these sales are great to take advantage of!
I was ready and waiting on the site as the clock went down to zero! Unfortunately I had some issues and I couldn’t add anything to my basket when using my phone or my laptop… I assume this was just due to such huge volumes of people on the site!
In the end I managed to add a few items to my basket and I decided to check out before I lost any more of the items I wanted!
After I checked out and went back onto the site to try and get the last few bits I wanted. I didn’t manage to get everything that I hoped for, but considering how quickly Gymshark sell out, I think I did remarkably well!
I got 6 items in total:
Sleek aspire leggings- purple
Aspire leggings- black
Basic crop- beet and purple
Seamless long sleeve crop top- purple
Cropped hoodie- black
As you can see I went mostly for the new purple colour, but also for items that I could wear with my existing Gymshark collection such as the beet crop top!
Let’s see what it looks like on…
ALL BLACK OUTFIT
You can’t go wrong with all black! I have black Nike leggings so I didn’t originally plan to buy these… but I’m glad I did!
The new aspire leggings are fabulous. I can’t even begin to describe what the materials like, it’s almost like suede, it’s so soft! FYI I wear a size small in these bad boys.
My fave part is the pockets though! In the gym I am forever having to awkwardly find somewhere for my phone. Now working out and listening to music is easy!
The hoodie is great too, I wear a size small. I initially had hoped for the new soft pink hoodie, but I missed out. Although I’m happy with the black as it goes with everything!
The main negative that I do have to say about this outfit is with the leggings. They just don’t seem to fit quite as comfortably as the seamless leggings do around the crotch. This isn’t very ladylike, but I do fear the dreaded camel toe in these leggings!
If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen these leggings everywhere and know that they aren’t new. Although the top is…and doesn’t it go perfectly with my all time favourite bottoms?!?
This top was an absolute bargain in the sales at £12!!
The fit is great and just as I hoped, I had read online advise to size down in this one so I went for an XS.
Although if I’m honest, the material isn’t what I was hoping for. It just feels like a normal t-shirt rather than any kind of special gym suitable material. I learned the hard way that these tops really show sweat! Bare this in mind if you plan to do HIIT as I did!
PURPLE, PURPLE, PURPLE
If you told me a year ago that I would be wearing an all purple outfit to the gym, I would have laughed in your face!
I use to wear big baggy t-shirts and black leggings and never thought it was appropriate to wear tight or revealing clothing in the gym. I’ve changed my mind on this now, and know that well fitted clothing is an essential part of a great workout!
Anyway… onto the clothes. PURPLE- say whaaa?!?
How nice is this colour? When I hear purple I normally think of a Barney the Dinosaur colour. But this colour is lush! More a lilac than a purple.
Here I’m wearing the sleek aspire leggings with the seamless crop top both size small.
I’ve heard so many good things about the seamless crop top, and it doesn’t disappoint! It’s a great material for moving around in and also for hiding sweat!
Although I would say it’s very cropped! More than I thought it would be at least… but I do have quite a long torso.
Here I’ve paired the sleek aspire leggings with the basic crop which I got in an extra small.
Another great outfit, but as with the beet, this top isn’t the best to break a sweat in!
If you’re as nosey as I am, you’ll want know the prices and deals that I got with these items. It’s worth noting that on top of the Gymshark sale discount I also got a further 10% student discount through student beans which was applied after this screenshot:
I feel as though these prices are pretty justified, the items are extremely high quality and the customer service is always exceptional too!
I never use to care how I looked in the gym, and l don’t really care that much now (in terms of my hair being on over the place and makeup being non existent). But I have come to find a lot of love in working out in something I feel good in.
So for me, its worth treating myself and paying that little extra for something that fits right that I can workout comfortably in!
I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and managed to grab yourselves some bargains in the Black Friday sales!
