As much as I love working out.. I have to say, I am a huge foodie!
Have a look at what I’ve been eating for this last week…
SUNDAY:
Weekends are always a bit of an exception right?

If you follow me on Instagram or saw my last post you would have seen that I baked some glorious brownies over the weekend… and it would be shame not to try them! I snacked on these throughout the day!
BREAKFAST
Tut tut, an awful start from me π I was so busy revising this morning that I managed to forget breakfast all together!
I appreciate that I should never skip breakfast and I know it’s the most important meal of the day.
But tomorrow will be better, and it’s rare that I miss breakfast anyway!
LUNCH
We did our weekly shop just before lunch, so I was able to grab some tasty things for the week ahead.
For lunch I had a delicious chicken and avocado salad!

I really didn’t think this would fill me up, but I was wrong!
The chicken and avocado really pads it out, making for a very satisfying lunch!
DINNER
Spaghetti bolognese π

I try to make conscious choices with pasta meals as it isn’t exactly diet food…
I always have brown pasta, use the lowest fat beef mince I can find and also add loads of veggies like peppers!
I love this meal! We probably eat this every week as it’s easy to do and if like us your a household of two, then it will feed you for two nights.
ACTIVITY
Despite spending most of the day inside revising. In the afternoon we found time to go for a nice long walk to the Suspension bridge!
We clocked up a total of 15,000 steps for the day. Following that we went to the gym and trained upper body. I posted my workout on Instagram.

MONDAY:
BREAKFAST
Today is my first day in my new team! I had to be in at 7am so I decided to eat breakfast in the office.
I finally got around to breakfast at 8:30am and I had a cup of tea, a bowl of porridge and a banana.
LUNCH:
Remember that glorious chicken and avocado salad from yesterday? Well it’s round 2 today as I made 2 portions yesterday to save time! I had an apple and grapes on the side.

DINNER:
It’s date night tonight β€οΈ we are of to see Kingsman: the golden circle at the showcase and have dinner at Zizzis.

It was the perfect cheap night out as we have Showcase insider cards which entitles us to Β£6.50 cinema tickets, and NUS which gets us 40% off Zizzis!!
I went for one of their ‘less than 600 calories’ options. I opted for the seafood risotto… but requested no chillis as I am useless with spice!

It’s was scrumptious. It was filled with squid, mussels and prawns so I recommend it if you love seafood!
ACTIVITY:
As I started work at 7am I didn’t have time for the gym. So our activity for the day was clocking up 16,000 steps!
Luckily I did get to fit in a few games of badminton with my colleagues at lunch time! I love getting away from my desk and being active!
TUESDAY
BREAKFAST
Following my workout this morning I had a Women’s Best slim body shake. I am currently drinking the Cookies and Cream flavour.

I’ll be honest.. I’m not totally in love with the taste of this one, I’ll probably go for standard chocolate or vanilla next time!
I also had a banana followed by an apple!
I eat a lot of fruit throughout the day at work!
LUNCH
Round 3 of the chicken salad today.. although I ran out of avocado π
I also had grapes and a cereal bar on the side!
DINNER
We had one of my favourite meals tonight. Salmon fillets and loads of veg!

I packed out my plate with heaps of baby sweet corn and broccoli β€οΈ

We also had these easy little potatoes. They are Β£0.75 in Aldi and such a time and effort saver! Just pop them In the oven and they come out perfect every time!
ACTIVITY
We went to the gym this morning and also did a tonne of walking again throughout the day!
In the gym I put together a very quick full body circuit! Please let me know if you want the details π
WEDNESDAY
BREAKFAST
After two pretty packed days we decided not to rush up for the gym, and instead have a nice relaxed breakfast at home.
I had cup of coffee and a bowl of Aldi’s own brand ‘special K’.

In my option it tastes just as good as the real thing, for a fraction of the price!
LUNCH
Yep you guessed it… chicken salad again. I’m sorry that lunch is so boring but I always seem to run out of time to organise a decent lunch!

I also had an apple, banana, grapes and a cereal bar.
DINNER
One of my all time favourites tonight… fajitas!!
To be honest, I love Mexican food in general!
I made chicken fajitas, served up with homemade guacamole, sour cream, grated cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce and tortilla chips!

I love having food that you can customise! That’s why I love Tapas too! It just feels like a more social way to experience food.
ACTIVITY
As I said above. We decided to give ourselves a break from the gym today. But as always, I did plenty of steps- around 12,000 today.
I also played badminton again on my lunch break. I’m looking forward to going to the gym tomorrow!

THURSDAY
BREAKFAST
Same old same old again today- porridge, banana and coffee!

This is my go to when I get to work.. especially after an intense workout! Sorry it looks so gross in the photo- it did Β actually taste really nice, I promise!
LUNCH
Lunch was pretty weird today… in our weekly shop we bought sandwich thins/flat bread type things. Although we didn’t buy much to go in them!
So today I ended up to a chorizo and cheese filling!
It was just enough to keep me going to be honest, not a great lunch.
DINNER
Jeremy very kindly cooked this evening.
We had chicken and vegetable stir fry with prawn crackers on the side.
It was so nice to come home, eat this and catch up on the Great British Bake Off.

This is a very low calorie meal. By looks off things, my intake for the day has been very low!
Although I did treat myself to my all time favourite chocolate- a Kinda Beuno.
ACTIVITY
This morning we went to the gym and did HIIT on the treadmill. Although we mixed it up a bit this morning and did the workout I had seen on GracefitUK’s Youtube channel.
It felt good to try something different and our fitness must be pretty good as she warned through the entire video how hard it would be, but we didn’t find it too bad!
I recommend you try it!
FRIDAY
BREAKFAST
This morning was glorious! Some of you may know that we moved house last month and that we have been waiting a whole 30 days to find out how much of our deposit we will get back!
Today we got it ALL back!! To celebrate I treated myself to breakfast at Pinkmans.
I opted for their porridge with fruit compote and a cappuccino.

It was so sweet and so filling… just what I needed after an hour of working out and marching up to Clifton to the estate agents!
LUNCH
After plenty of fails at lunchtime this week, a decided to make more of an effort.
I cooked chicken breasts in the oven with a clove of garlic, steamed runner beans and microwaved packet of brown rice and quinoa. And here we have it!

I put it in plastic pots so I could take it to Jeremy for his lunch and eat with him in Queens Square.
It felt good to have a more substantial lunch today.
DINNER
In celebration of it being Friday and also getting the deposit back. We decided to eat out.
Prezzo had emailed me a code which entitled me to a FREE bottle of prosecco, so going there felt like the perfect way to celebrate.
Although to our disappointed, they would let us use the code with their ‘weekend menu’ so we didn’t get any prosecco in the end π©
This was annoying as I wouldn’t usually choose a chain restaurant unless there’s a really good deal on as there’s so much choice in Bristol and I like trying new places!
Anyway… I had the crab cakes for starter! They were very tasty, the only problem was is there wasn’t enough of it!

For my main I had their Tre Gusti pizza. Which as the name suggests, includes three meats: chicken, pancetta and pepperoni.

This pizza was huge so I only managed half! That’s good news though as it means my lunch is sorted for tomorrow!
As we missed out on our free drink at Prezzo, we finished off the evening at Pitcher and Piano for our Free Cosmopolitan! FYI if you sign up, you get a free drink every month!

ACTIVITY
We went to the gym this morning and I did a 30 minute abs class. It was great to try a new class as I was shown some exercises that I haven’tΒ done before!
After that I spent 30 minutes doing some weighted leg exercises on the assisted pull up machine and smith machine.
On top of the gym I also clocked up about 18,000 steps today which is pretty good going!
SATURDAY
BREAKFAST
This morning I once again tucked into my knock off ‘Special K’ and a coffee.

LUNCH
True to my word, for lunch today I had the left over pizza. I decided not to take a photo of this as it really didn’t look as appealing as it did last night!
DINNER
Any killer dinner tonight! Pulled-pork wraps!

I’ve been pretty occupied with revision tonight so this was a nice and easy, yet satisfying meal!
ACTIVITY
As always I did plenty of walking today, but I also got another gym session in!
I did about 30 minutes of HIIT on the treadmill followed by a full body circuit. I really broke a sweat doing this workout, and it felt particularly good to blow off some steam after being stuck inside revising for most of the day!
SUMMARY
Wow, well done if you made it to the end of all that! This has got to be the longest post I’ve done!
